What is The Spring Hill School’s Raising the Next Generation Series?

Parenting in the modern world is a tricky business; we have to help our children learn to navigate an increasingly unpredictable physical world while also guiding them on their journey through the virtual landscape of social media and the internet. While there has never been more research on child development and mindful parenting, it feels as if there has also never been less time to dig into all of these resources or even begin to know where to look for them. The Spring Hill School is dedicated to supporting families across our community as they embark on the pleasure and challenge of raising incredible children. Our new parent focused lecture series is designed to do just that!

The Spring Hill School’s Raising the Next Generation Speaker Series will bring experts in the fields of parenting and child development to help our community of parents learn and connect on topics of modern parenting. Some of the lectures will focus on parenting younger children while others will be designed to address the parenting of elementary and middle school students. We encourage parents to attend all of the lectures regardless of the age groups lectures focus on. The lectures are designed to speak to today's pressing parenting concerns, provide techniques for engaging more meaningfully with our children, and offer opportunities to share and learn from one another.

We hope this lecture series will foster new partnerships and connections, inspire parenting "Aha!" moments, friendships, and be a safe space to learn and to grow (because children are not the only ones growing and learning!) together. Join us as we dig into just what it takes to raise the next generation!

Each speaker will visit our school via Zoom or in-person for an hour-long interactive lecture experience with time for questions, comments, and opportunities to share.

Come enjoy two evenings of learning and connection with parents in our school community! Lectures will be offered on Tuesday evenings.
