Marilyn Stratford

Marilyn Stratford joined the Board in 2012. Marilyn has spent her career in education and leadership, as a teacher and as Principal of Casa Grande High School in Petaluma and Director of Student Service for Petaluma City Schools. Marilyn has a BA in Sociology from UC Berkeley, where she also received her Secondary Teaching Credential and Administrative Services credential. She has a Masters Degree in Educational Administration from Sonoma State University. Since retiring from her position as Principal, Marilyn has worked as Interim Principal of Kenilworth Junior High School in Petaluma and has taught English as a Second Language through the adult education program of Canal Alliance in San Rafael. Marilyn’s two adult children are very successful Spring Hill alums. As a leading educator, Marilyn has been instrumental on the Spring Hill leadership team as she brings the perspective, knowledge, and experience in support of the education that Spring Hill offers, preparing our students to succeed in their high schools of choice and prestigious colleges.

Michael Foulkes

Michael Foulkes has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 2007. He currently holds the position of Vice President. Michael’s education includes Exeter University in England, Columbia University in New York, and Sonoma State University. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature as well as K-12 and Single Subject English teaching credentials. Michael’s career has taken him from the UK to Sonoma County as a leading educator and coach. In addition to consulting with private schools, his many years as an education professional have provided him opportunities to work with at-risk teens, prepare professionals and teenage students for national exams, lecture about various teaching methods, and head a private educational center for children and adults with learning difficulties. Michael’s global educational and consulting experiences have been instrumental to Spring Hill’s mission of preparing our students to succeed in their global communities. MIchael’s son Alex is a successful Spring Hill alum.

David Riley

David Riley is the Board Chair. He has been a member of the Spring Hill Board of Trustees since 2019. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from University of Guelph and attended Sheridan College of Arts & Design to study Photography, both in Canada. David has 30+ years executive experience in business development, with a focus on global growth through innovative business modeling and development of creative partnerships. He has extensive background in global logistics and manufacturing, and managing highly effective cross-functional teams. David is the co-founder and COO of Shulz, an equestrian bag and apparel company; co-founder and CEO of Riley, a travel bag and apparel company. and was Senior Vice President of DayMen US, a leading designer, marketer, and distributor of high performance branded bags, packs, cases, tripods, and straps for digital imaging and related electronic devices; and General Manager of Lowepro, a brand of carrying bags for cameras, laptops, imaging accessories and portable consumer electronics. David’s daughter is a current Spring Hill middle school student.

Seth Nobmann

Seth Nobmann has been a member of the Spring Hill Board of Trustees in 2017. He holds the position of Board Secretary. Seth is CEO of Advanced Building Solutions (ABS), where he has been on the leadership team for 15 years. ABS is a full-service real estate development Company with a focus on multi-family housing. ABS has developed over $350 million dollars, covering a wide range of projects throughout Northern California. Seth has a BS in Business Administration and Management from California State University, Northridge. He was instrumental in chairing Spring Hill’s Facility Committee and in leading the design and construction project and team for Spring Hill's new middle school campus. Seth has two sons who have attended Spring Hill. Seth’s experience and achievements and perspective as a Spring Hill alum himself are invaluable..

Leslie Taylor

Leslie Taylor has been a Spring Hill board member since 2021 and a Spring Hill parent since 2011 with children graduating from the new middle school. Leslie holds a degree in English Literature from San Francisco State University. Bringing the parent perspective to the board, Leslie has been involved in the founding and growth of the middle school and believes deeply in Spring Hill’s model for education.

Heather Muir

Heather Muir has been a Spring Hill board member since 2022, and a parent of a Spring Hill student from 2009 to 2019. Deeply committed to Spring Hill's model of education, Heather has been actively involved in the Spring Hill community at all three of its campuses. Heather has a student who graduated from the new middle school, and brings a parent perspective to the board. Professionally, Heather is a corporate training marketplace expert, with deep B2B marketing and communications experience. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations from UC Davis.
