Meet our Board

Leslie Taylor

Leslie Taylor grew up on Cape Cod and moved to California in 1996. A lifelong rider, Leslie is the owner of Melody Oak Farm LLC, an equestrian boarding and training facility in Petaluma. Leslie holds a degree in English Literature and comes to Spring Hill's board with a generational commiitment to the independent school model.

Leslie hails from a family of independent school graduates and educators including her grandfather who was the Head of St. Andrews School in Delaware from 1958-1976, bringing both integration and coeducation to that campus. Leslie's husband Craig was a special education teacher first at Pinole Middle School and then Terra Linda High School for 20 years.

Leslie served on the W.H. Pepper Preschool Board as secretary from 2014-2017. She has been serving on The Spring Hill School Board since 2021. She is also a member of the board at Sonoma Academy.

Bringing the parent perspective to the board, Leslie has been involved in the founding and growth of the middle school and believes deeply in Spring Hill’s model for education. Both of Leslie's daughters graduated from Spring Hill. Adeline is currently attending Syracuse University and Lorelei is a student at Sonoma Academy.

There is nothing more impactful that a parent can provide to a child than the very best education. Leslie is honored to support The Spring Hill School in its mission to do so.

Christine Bean

Christine is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Golden State Lumber, where she's had the privilege of contributing to their growth and success for over 8 years now. Her journey began at HP/Agilent, where she honed her financial acumen and developed a deep understanding of corporate finance.

In addition to her professional endeavors, she is proud to be a loving spouse and a parent to four wonderful grown children, two grandchildren, and two Dobermans. Her family loves annual visits to Cabo and Tahoe.

Throughout her career, she has navigated through various financial landscapes, gaining insights and experiences that have shaped her approach to leadership and decision-making. She looks forward to engaging with the Spring Hill Board & community, sharing insights, and learning from each other's experiences as part of this esteemed group.

Katie Ferguson (currently on leave)

Katie Ferguson joined the Board in 2025 bringing with her a background in non-profit museum management and human resources. She holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree in art history. In her work, she serves as the Associate Director of Human Resources at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, which includes the de Young and the Legion of Honor.

Katie has experience in all facets of HR work, ranging from compliance to employee and labor relations to organizational strategy.

She is the parent of a current Spring Hill student, and cares deeply about the education and community provided by the school. Katie became Chair of the Board at the beginning of the 2026-27 school year.

Ben Kirkbride

Ben joined the Board in 2026. He is the founder of Glass City CFO, a fractional CFO practice serving Bay Area startups and growing businesses.

He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA.

He is a current Spring Hill parent of two students.

David Mai

David leads an anesthesia group specializing in ambulatory surgery and women’s reproductive health and fertility. Throughout his career, David has been a passionate advocate for evidence-based practice, investing considerable energy in teaching and mentoring the next generation of clinicians through high-fidelity simulation-based learning — an approach that mirrors Spring Hill’s own core value of experiential learning, where the doing and the discovering are inseparable from the knowing.

David understands that true education is never purely transactional. It lives in relationship — between teacher and student, between knowledge and wonder, between individual growth and collective responsibility. That understanding has guided not only his professional life, but a lifetime of service on the water. For decades, David has devoted himself to teaching sailing to young people through Sea Explorers, helping children discover not just the mechanics of wind and tide, but something far more enduring — self-confidence, problem-solving under pressure, teamwork, and the quiet strength that comes from navigating the unknown. In this way, David has long practiced what Spring Hill holds sacred: nurturing each child’s unique potential with joy and a grounded sense of self.

David is also deeply rooted in the Spring Hill community as a parent. He is a devoted husband, and the proud father of two inspiring young learners who are themselves students at Spring Hill — a fact that makes his commitment to the school’s heritage, vitality, and future not merely philosophical, but profoundly personal.

As a Trustee, David joins Spring Hill’s governance team with the same spirit he brings to every endeavor: as a lifelong learner who leads by example, as an educator who knows that the most lasting lessons are taught through presence and passion, and as a community member who believes that when children are truly seen, heard, and known, there is no limit to what they can become.

Dr. Anusuya Mokashi

Dr. Anusuya Mokashi joined the Spring Hill Board in 2026. She is a board-certified radiologist with over 11 years of experience and currently serves in multiple leadership roles at Petaluma Valley Hospital and Healdsburg Hospital, including Director of Radiology, Director of Mammography, Associate Chief Medical Officer, and the first female Chief of Staff at Petaluma Valley Hospital.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Mokashi serves on both the Petaluma Valley Hospital community board and foundation board, demonstrating her commitment to healthcare governance and community wellness. Her leadership experience spans medical operations, strategic planning, and organizational development.

Dr. Mokashi is deeply engaged in the Petaluma community. She serves on the Petaluma Educational Foundation board, coaches youth basketball, and captains multiple competitive tennis teams. As a Spring Hill parent of two young children, she is passionate about education that balances academic excellence with social-emotional development, inclusivity, and community engagement. She believes deeply in helping students discover how their passions can be developed into tangible projects and meaningful contributions to the world around them.

Dr. Mokashi is excited to support Spring Hill's mission and work alongside fellow board members to serve students, families, and staff.

Seth Nobmann

Seth Nobmann has been a member of the Spring Hill Board of Trustees in 2017. He holds the position of Board Secretary. Seth is CEO of Advanced Building Solutions (ABS), where he has been on the leadership team for 15 years. ABS is a full-service real estate development Company with a focus on multi-family housing. ABS has developed over $350 million dollars, covering a wide range of projects throughout Northern California. Seth has a BS in Business Administration and Management from California State University, Northridge. He was instrumental in chairing Spring Hill’s Facility Committee and in leading the design and construction project and team for Spring Hill's new middle school campus. Seth has two sons who have attended Spring Hill. Seth’s experience and achievements and perspective as a Spring Hill alum himself are invaluable.
