Food Specifics
How will lunch and snacks work at camp?
Students should bring their snack and lunch each day, plus a bottle of water. Below are some guidelines and suggestions for what to send in your student’s lunch, along with some important logistics.
- Please send a nutritionally balanced lunch to camp. We are committed to a healthy lifestyle and guide students to eat their protein, fruit, and vegetables first.
- Candy, sugary desserts, drinks, and sodas are not permitted.
- It is important for students to have a lunchbox and food containers that they can open without help.
- Teachers are not able to refrigerate or heat up your student’s food, so please plan accordingly.
- Clearly label all of your student’s items, including lunch containers and water bottles.
How do you manage food allergies?
Spring Hill is an allergy-aware school. While our camp is not nut-free, teachers take precautions to support students with food allergies.
During camp registration, you will be asked to provide detailed information about any food allergies that your camper may have.
Please notify the camp and complete allergy care forms for any student with food allergies so we can provide a safe environment for everyone. If your child needs medication, please clearly label their medication with your child’s name and bring it to the office for safe keeping.
Will any food be served at camp?
Yes, there will be a daily ‘treat’ served at camp.
