The Spring Hill School’s Lower Elementary campus is home to our Kindergarten, first grade, and second-grade classrooms. Our beautiful and historic campus provides inspired spaces for our Lower Elementary students to learn. Built in 1873 as a one-room schoolhouse, our Lower Elementary campus was once the school of notable Petaluma citizens such as Helen Putnam. Now the oldest still-in-use schoolhouse in the state of California, the schoolhouse has been thoughtfully improved to meet the demands of our modern academic curriculum with large, open classrooms, outdoor learning spaces, a serene and natural playground setting, and a school garden. The environment we have created at our unique Lower Elementary campus offers an education that prepares our students to succeed in their modern world on a campus steeped in history. This peaceful campus offers students a beautiful, calm environment where they can learn, explore, and play. Its distinctive setting is perfectly suited to young elementary-age students offering flexible indoor and outdoor classroom spaces that inspire a sense of wonder.
